Get these calendula seeds (Calendula officinalis , Asteraceae) for early blooming, easy growing, brilliantly colored flowers that also have a variety of medicinal uses. It is antifungal, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, which makes them great additions in creams, salves and poultices. The petals are also edible!
Calendula is a frost tolerant annual and can grow 1-2 feet tall and will thrive in pots, beds or boxes. With 2-3 successive sowings, you can have blooms all season.
Seed count is 100, which come in a variety of sizes and shades of brown (see image 4). They are 2nd generation in my garden, therefore hardy. This mix is orange and yellow.
